Why choose us?
What makes us different?
We are a small school located in Tilshead on the middle of Salisbury Plain. We are easily reachable from many local communities; we have children come to us from Shrewton, Larkhill, Durrington, Bulford, Amesbury, Salisbury, Winterbourne Stoke, Codford, Chitterne, West Lavington, Devizes, Orcheston and Wilton as well as the village of Tilshead! Families travel to us because of our small size and family ethos. We have three classes of under 20 children, which allows us to know each child on an individual basis - exactly what makes them happy, what they struggle with and what their learning needs are. We welcome children at any stage of their educational journey. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive, warm and welcoming school who think 'outside the box' to support every one of our children. We also offer flexi-schooling, which has increased in popularity in recent years. We are particularly experienced in supporting children with SEND needs and children who are part of families with members serving in the military. Our small numbers mean we can provide opportunities that would be difficult in larger numbers - regular Forest School sessions on our dedicated site just across the road from the school, continuous provision in Reception to Y3, a Scrapstore Playpod to encourage creative play at break and lunchtimes and exciting trips and outings. We also offer ELSA provision and interventions including play therapy, brick social skills, sensory circuits, Attention bucket and many more. Alongside this strong pastoral focus, we also provide our children with a bespoke and interesting curriculum which opens their eyes to a love of learning.
